Old Dubai Walking Tour

This tour takes place at the most beautiful time of day — sunset.
We’ll take a leisurely walk along Dubai Creek, and along the way, I’ll tell you how a small fishing village grew into one of the world’s most modern cities. You’ll discover the history, culture, and traditions of the local people.
We’ll enjoy a cup of traditional Arabic coffee in a historic house that was once home to a local Emirati family.
We’ll explore the historic Al Fahidi district, with its narrow lanes and traditional Arabian architecture, cross Dubai Creek on a traditional wooden abra boat, just as locals have done for generations, and then immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of an oriental bazaar at the famous Gold and Spice Souks.
Along the way, you’ll discover fascinating stories about Dubai’s past and present and experience a side of the city that many visitors never get to see.

Al Seef — an atmospheric waterfront promenade designed in a traditional Arabian style, with beautiful views of Dubai Creek.
Bastakiya (Al Fahidi) — explore Dubai’s historic district with its traditional architecture and discover what life was like before the oil era.
Traditional Arabic Majlis — a short stop in a traditional setting to enjoy Arabic coffee and dates.
Dubai Creek — stroll along the historic waterway where Dubai’s trading story began.
Traditional Abra Ride — cross Dubai Creek on a traditional wooden abra, just as locals did long before bridges connected the two sides of the city.
Spice Souk — discover the aromas of oriental spices, dried fruits and a wide variety of dates.
Gold Souk — visit Dubai’s famous gold market and one of the most colourful places in Old Dubai.
Free Time for Shopping — after the tour, you can stay at the souks and explore the shops at your own pace.
